Integrating technology into an employee benefit programme
Bossa Studios is a BAFTA-winning independent games developer and publisher based in London. Its 70+ valued employees – ‘Bossians’ – enjoy a vibrant culture whether they’re working from home or the office (there’s totally flexible working for all), as well as a 24/7 employee assistance programme, discounted gym membership and regular social events.
We had the pleasure of getting to know Bossa over croissants and coffee at a brunch in 2019 and, one year later, they hired us to conduct a complete review of their employee benefits set up.
We identified a gap in cover which could leave employees vulnerable and employers covering the financial fallout when staff become ill. So, we implemented a group income protection scheme as part of Bossa’s core benefits package, then worked together to bolster the company’s health insurance policy so pre-existing conditions would be covered.
Finally, we helped Bossa roll out an employee self-service tech platform, where employees could learn more about their core benefits and opt-in to new voluntary benefits, like dental cover and a cash plan, which helps people to cover the cost of routine healthcare appointments, such as visits to the optician or physiotherapist.
The new platform, which integrates seamlessly with Bossa’s existing digital workplace systems, helps to reduce the administrative burden for the HR team, and boosts engagement with the company’s benefits portfolio, too.
