An evening with Jon Sopel | Prime Ministers and Presidents

Last week, despite his busy schedule, we were lucky to have friend of Connor Broadley Jon Sopel back for another evening of insights and discussion in front of an audience of our guests at the wonderful Curzon Mayfair cinema.

Just back from the Conservative Party Conference, and in between recording episodes of his hit podcast The News Agents, Jon was interviewed by political commentator George Pascoe-Watson.

The conversation touched on everything from the situation in the Middle East, and the recent PR own goals of the Labour government, to the Conservative party leadership contest, and the fascinating race for the Whitehouse with Donald Trump and Kamala Harris battling it out for the top prize. The talk also covered the central theme of his new book Strangeland, a look at the ways in which he thinks the UK’s political and media landscapes changed during his eight-year absence working as the BBC’s North America Editor in Washington D.C.
